In a move to bolster transparency and financial accountability, the Council of Legal Education (CLE) today hosted a senior technical delegation from the Office of the Controller of Budget (OCoB) for a high-level strategic knowledge-sharing session.

The meeting, led by CLE CEO Prof. Jack Mwimali and OCoB Director Mohamed Isaack Hassan, focused on elevating the standards of institutional reporting and fiscal responsibility within the public sector.

During the engagement, the Office of the Controller of Budget highly commended the Council for its consistent delivery of high-quality, professional, and insightful annual reports. In the realm of public service, these reports serve as a vital tool for documenting the prudent use of public funds and the achievement of statutory milestones.

Director Mohamed Isaack Hassan noted that the CLE’s approach to reporting serves as a benchmark for other state agencies, particularly in how complex regulatory data is translated into transparent, stakeholder-friendly formats.

"Preparing professional annual reports is not just a statutory obligation; it is about building trust with the Kenyan public and our stakeholders," stated Prof. Mwimali.

As the CLE continues to implement its Strategic Plan 2023–2027, this collaboration with the OCoB ensures that the Council remains at the forefront of governance excellence. By adopting rigorous reporting standards, the CLE aims to maintain its reputation as a responsive and accountable regulator of legal education and training in Kenya.
