The Chief Executive Officer of the Council of Legal Education (CLE), Prof. Jack Mwimali, attended a Thanksgiving and Career Day at his former school, St. Joseph’s Boys National School, Kitale, where he was received by the Chief Principal, Mr. Cosmas Nabungolo.

During the visit, Prof. Mwimali engaged students in an inspiring career mentorship session, drawing from his personal journey as a proud alumnus of the institution. He shared valuable insights on legal education pathways, career progression, and professional growth, while emphasizing the importance of discipline, integrity, hard work, and excellence in pursuing any career, including law.

He encouraged the students to remain focused, committed to their academic journey, and intentional about building a strong foundation for their future.

As part of the event, Prof. Mwimali also recognized and awarded outstanding performers among both teachers and students, commending their dedication, discipline, and commitment to academic excellence.

The visit follows earlier consultative engagements between CLE and the school’s leadership on an upcoming career fair aimed at promoting awareness on legal education and training pathways among students.

Speaking during the engagement, Prof. Mwimali reaffirmed CLE’s commitment to strengthening stakeholder engagement and enhancing awareness of legal education pathways and applicable regulatory standards as part of its broader mandate.

Also in attendance were the Senator for Trans Nzoia County, Sen. Allan Chesang; the Chief Principal of Loreto Girls Matunda; and the County Executive Committee Member (CEC) for Education, Trans Nzoia County, among other distinguished guests.

Through such engagements, CLE continues to nurture, guide, and inspire the next generation of legal professionals in Kenya.
